• Architect, design, simulate and validate thermal performance of microelectronic devices and systems.
• Model thermal system for thermal response simulations.
• Perform transient and steady state thermal response simulation.
• Measure thermal performance with varying power user cases.
• Define and characterize thermally enhanced materials and processing (such as thermal interface materials) for hardware components and systems.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Masters or PhD degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in thermal analysis and thermal measurement.
  • Fundamental understandings on thermal conduction, convection and radiation.
  • Experience in Python, MATLAB or C++ coding.
  • Experience with Ansys Icepak, Flotherm or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge on Cadence Allegro, Redhawks SCET, CAD tools, Ansys mechanical simulation tools is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Pay DisclosureSalary Range for California Based Candidates: $191,600.00 - $239,500.00 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26.
