Job Description:
Join Tesla's cutting-edge Dojo Hardware design team dedicated to
revolutionizing AI training compute hardware. If you thrive in a

solving, this is an opportunity for you. As a Mechanical Design
Engineer, you'll lead the development of electro-mechanical
systems, coldplates and manifolds, rack and tray structures, and
electrical distribution. Your designs will directly contribute to
the efficiency and scalability of Tesla's supercomputing
infrastructure.What You'll Do
- Design and Innovation: Lead full product lifecycle of
electro-mechanical components and systems, ensuring reliability,
performance and scalability for AI compute hardware.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform structural, thermal, and
tolerance analyses, as well as Design for Assembly reviews.
- Architecture: Perform feasibility studies, evaluate design
concepts, and propose new product architectures.
- Prototyping and Validation: Drive prototype builds, testing,
and troubleshooting, providing hands-on support during all build
and test phases. Support development of engineering and reliability
test plans, test data analysis, and failure analysis.
- Documentation: Generate precise 3D models (CATIA/3DX),
technical drawings, and design documentation.
- Manufacturing: Collaborate with internal and external teams to
support part sourcing, tooling, and manufacturing processes.What
You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, including
electronics packaging and PCBAs.
- Proficiency in CAD (CATIA preferred), GD&T, DFM/DFA
principles, and FEA tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform first
principles analysis to ensure a successful design.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in high-performance computing, data centers, or
consumer electronics preferred.
- Familiarity with thermal management solutions (e.g. heat sinks,
coldplates, liquid cooling) preferred.Compensation and

$137,680 - $206,520/annual salary + cash and stock awards +
benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized
factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience. The total compensation package for this position
may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
