This role will take responsibility for driving research studies and analytics that empower sales teams with vertical and product sales insights, ultimately supporting advertiser revenue growth.The successful candidate will lead the execution of SMC customer insights projects that address the needs of advertisers across industries, with a focus on uncovering actionable insights to optimize go-to-market strategies and inform sales narratives. The role is ideal for someone with proven B2B research and analytics expertise, a passion for delivering impactful insights, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.The ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships with SMC Sales, Revenue, Growth, Marketing, and Data Science teams will be critical for success in this role. The position will report to the SMC Head of Insights and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to key revenue-driving initiatives at Snap Inc.What you'll do:
- Analyze data from audience databases and other sources to identify opportunities to improve the sales content that is used by sales, business development, revenue, and marketing teams.
- Develop sales and marketing materials such as sales presentations, insights decks, narratives, 1-pagers, etc.
- Conduct surveys, interviews, and other research methods to understand customer experience, needs, pain points, behaviors, and preferences.
- Develop a deep understanding of advertiser customer journeys and their needs across different website sessions and visits.
- Create compelling customer personas, advertiser flows, wireframes, and other design artifacts to inform product, marketing, and sales solutions.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to craft data-driven sales
pitch documents and narratives that resonate with advertisers,
leveraging insights to tell a compelling story.Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities:
- Experience with qualitative methodologies - individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability experience testing, etc.
- Familiarity with audience and industry insights platforms like GWI, Mintel, etc.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Qualtrics.
- Ability to present and brainstorm research findings with both technical and non-technical/business audiences.
- Ability to connect the dots between disparate sources and think
strategically about how recommendations will impact the bottom line
of the business in the short-term and long-term.Minimum
Qualifications:
- At least 7+ years of experience conducting B2B research for SaaS businesses or self-serve websites.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python/R for analysis and data visualization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer
Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or
any related field or equivalent years of experience.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, or Social Science.
- Experience with quantitative research (metrics, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, and statistical concepts, etc.).
- Experience in evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors.
- You are able to demonstrate critical thinking beyond business requests.
- You enjoy collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven and

States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the
salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting
pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience,
qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting
pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$284,000
annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is
$181,000-$270,000 annually.Zone C: The base salary range for this
position is $162,000-$241,000 annually.This position is eligible
for equity in the form of RSUs.
