Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Prepared Foods Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing and replenishing food products, monitoring inventory control, and assisting in organizing and developing promotional displays.Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing and Replenishment: Purchase and replenish food products through proper buying procedures, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and act upon open PO reports for purchases and credits, controlling spoilage and shrink, and achieving turn goals.
• Display and Merchandising: Assist in organizing and developing promotional displays, ensuring a visually appealing and well-stocked store environment.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering phones and pages promptly and courteously, and addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Team Leader to ensure seamless operations and achieve business goals.Requirements and Qualifications:
• Extensive Product Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of food products, production, distribution, seasonal availability, and trends.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate team members on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Basic Math Skills: Possess strong basic math skills, with the ability to manage inventory and perform purchasing tasks.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and ordering systems.
