the Role:
As the Associate Chief Medical Officer, you will play a pivotal
role in shaping the future of our healthcare-focused AI products.
Reporting directly to our Chief Medical Officer, you will work
closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering,
product, and go-to-market, to ensure our products align with
clinical needs, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.This is
a unique opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional
with a strong background in product development to combine their
clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology in an onsite,
fast-paced startup environment.Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise to inform the design, development,
and iteration of AI-driven healthcare products.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define
product requirements, features, and roadmaps.
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert in client meetings,
presentations, and demonstrations of AI products.
- Travel to customer sites to provide clinical support, gather
user feedback, and ensure successful product adoption.
- Ensure all products meet high safety, quality, and regulatory
standards.
- Validate the clinical relevance, accuracy, and usability of AI
models and tools.
- Partner with internal teams to align product development with
market needs and customer feedback.
- Work closely with the GTM team to translate clinical insights
into impactful product solutions.
- Act as a clinical leader and mentor for internal teams,
providing insights on medical trends, technologies, and
challenges.
- Advocate for evidence-based approaches and patient-centered
care throughout the product lifecycle.QualificationsMust Haves:
- MD or DO degree with active, unrestricted medical
licensure.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical practice.
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare product development
(e.g., digital health, medical devices, or AI applications).
- Proven ability to translate clinical needs into product
specifications.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA
and FDA guidelines.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA, five days a
week.Nice to Haves:
- Experience working in a health tech or startup
environment.
- Background in leading cross-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare.
- Expertise in user-centric design principles.
