We're a highly motivated and collaborative group focused on a singular goal - building the world's first useful quantum computer on the fastest path possible.There's much more work to be done and we are looking for exceptional talent to join us on this extraordinary journey!Job Summary:The Detection Engineering Lead designs and implements technology and services to detect and address cybersecurity threats against PsiQuantum. Reporting to the Chief Information and Security Officer (CISO), this person develops and implements processes, standards, and technology to ensure PsiQuantum's data and systems are resilient against compromise.Responsibilities:

• Lead the Detection Engineering function, which includes threat detection, incident response, forensics, and any tooling to support these capabilities.
• Develop and implement technology to detect and contain threats in PsiQuantum's internal and cloud environments.
• Work cross-functionally to develop processes and procedures for managing security incidents.
• Ensure detection and response capabilities are tested on an ongoing basis.
• Implement a Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor security events on a 24x7 basis.
• Participate in on-call duties.
• Mentor others in the security team.
• Provide senior management with regular insights into current threats impacting PsiQuantum.Experience/Qualifications:
  • 8+ years in Information Security or an adjacent field.
  • Demonstrated experience building and growing a detection engineering function.
  • Familiarity with current state of the art in threat management for cloud and on-prem deployments.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at all levels of an organization from individual contributor to senior leadership.

Actual compensation may vary outside of this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications including relevant education and training, competencies, experience, geographic location, and business needs. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package. Full time roles are eligible for equity and benefits.
