Job Description:
DescriptionAs a hands-on Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial
role in driving sales by evangelizing, positioning, and
architecting secure solutions for our clients. Leveraging
Conversant Group's secure-first approach, you will design and
configure hardware, software, and services. This role involves both
pre-sales activities, working closely with the sales team, and
post-sales collaboration with our implementation and managed
services teams to ensure seamless delivery of secure solutions.Key
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical expert on Conversant Group's Technical
Directives.
- Maintain deep product knowledge of Conversant Group's
recommended solutions.
- Possess competitive knowledge of alternative solutions,
enabling you to articulate the risks associated with non-Conversant
Group offerings.
- Partner with the account team to develop solutions that meet
client technical and business requirements.
- Collaborate with account team members to manage, support, and
prioritize sales opportunities.
- Lead the discovery, analysis, design, and refinement of fully
integrated, secure technology solutions.
- Own the technical relationship with the customer.
- Be accountable for achieving the technical win.
- Participate in post-sales technical implementation calls with
clients and Conversant Group's delivery teams.
- Develop technical and functional specifications, including
Statements of Work (SOWs), Letters of Engagement (LOEs), and
proposed architecture designs.
- Collaborate with the account team and external vendors to
create and review Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Work closely with the PMO and Implementation teams to
communicate the solution vision and ensure successful
delivery.Qualifications, Requirements, and Preferred Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of pre-sales experience in a related
industry. Preferred experience in one or more of the following
areas:
- Backup solutions (Druva, Rubrik, Cohesity, or competitors)
- Storage (Pure, HPE, NetApp, or related)
- Virtualization and VDI (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix)
- Network LAN/WAN Connectivity
- Multi-factor Authentication
- Secure Network Design and Segmentation
- Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or
competitors)
- Microsoft O365, Azure, AD, Teams, and SharePoint
- Databases (SQL, Oracle, Mongo)
- Email Security (ProofPoint, Mimecast, or competitors)
- Virtual Desktop Solutions (Citrix Workspace, Horizon View, or
competitors)
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) (CrowdStrike Falcon,
Microsoft Defender, or competitors)
- Proficiency in creating design documents using tools like
Visio.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices for breach
prevention.
- Experience developing BOMs (HPE, Cisco, etc.), SOWs, and
LOEs.
- Experience in a startup environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation
skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative technical solutions
that challenge the status quo.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Force Management methodology.
- Strong team player.
