About Middesk
Middesk's mission is to accelerate the economy by scaling trust between businesses. We believe that if we can make it easy for a business to access financial products, hire new employees, and transact with other businesses, that we increase the odds of success for that business to contribute to its community and the broader economy.
Our Identity product provides accurate, complete information that financial services companies need to make efficient onboarding decisions. Our Agent product makes it easy for employers to file with the state and federal agencies needed to establish their business across the country. Our customers include Affirm, Brex, Plaid, Wells Fargo, Mercury, Divvy, Rippling, Gusto, and others.
Based in San Francisco and NYC, Middesk is backed by Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, and Y Combinator.
The Role
Middesk started as an API-first company, and while the API remains central to what we do, we see opportunity in becoming even better at full-stack user experiences. We're looking for engineers who prefer working within the realm of user interaction design over backend design; engineers who love frontend work. Here's what the role entails:

  • Jamming with Design on what good UX is, and then implementing it.
  • Helping evolve the shape of our frontend stack.
  • Getting your hands dirty with backend API work on occasion (an 80/20 thing).

    What You'll Experience

    • Contributing directly to the development of the dashboard, API, and additional services that our customers directly engage with.
    • Jamming with other UX Engineers and shape the Middesk Design System.
    • Working closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and the executive team to develop, prioritize, and execute against a roadmap that directly impacts customers and drives our business ahead.
    • Prototyping: building quick proofs of concept to test with users.
    • Shipping fast, iterating rapidly, and identifying ongoing opportunities to deliver value to customers.

Why We Think You'll Love It Here

      • Customer First: We stay energized by solving real customer problems and make each interaction meaningful.
      • Be an owner: We identify and tackle problems, take pride in our work, and measure impact.
      • Act with urgency and purpose: We move quickly and simplify things as we go.
      • Drive results together: We choose teamwork and share our opinions.
      • Embrace the journey: We dream big and are open to taking risks.

Middesk is committed to equal treatment and opportunity in all aspects of recruitment, selection, and employment without regard to gender, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, veteran or military status, or any other category protected under the law.
Middesk is an equal opportunity employer; committed to a community of inclusion, and an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
We are committed to providing a positive interview experience for every candidate. If any accommodations are needed during the interview process, please let us know by contacting careers@middesk.com.
