Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations
supporting a wide range of deliverables for the ops team and office
of the Chief Scientist.The ideal candidate for this role will be
able to work autonomously, communicate effectively to a wide range
of stakeholders, and be well-organized with very high attention to
detail. This person will allow our researchers to create the next
wave of AI by proactively identifying obstacles before they arise
and consistently looking for ways to improve processes.What you
will be doing:
- Budget Management: work closely with the Director of Operations
to manage the organization's budget, ensuring accurate reporting
and quarterly forecasting.
- Data Strategy: work closely with researchers and senior leaders
to understand what types of data will contribute to the org and
company vision then operationalizing data acquisition from multiple
sources.
- Procurement Management: set up new vendors, manage contract
negotiations, open POs and understand how all purchases relate to
our overall organizational goals.
- Organize & Present at Team Meetings: content and logistics
planning for All Hands, Leadership Offsites, budget meetings, team
meetings, and V2MOM reviews. Present topics and lead sessions for
areas you own.
- Academic Partnerships and University Grants Programs: Work with
research leads to identify how and which external research
engagements can best deliver on the Research team's goals through
various forms of academic, industry, and governmental
initiatives.
- Maintain Operational Excellence: through deep understanding of
Salesforce policies and procedures for program execution and
management including legal, ethics, security, procurement, finance,
events, and public relations.
- Win as a Team: work closely with other members of the
operations team on large scale projects and be willing to jump in
wherever needed to support all ops team deliverables.What you
should have:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 8+ years of project/program management experience.
- Proven record of delivering sophisticated projects and programs
with large teams across multiple departments, functions, and
geographies.
- Ability to create and manage project plans, monitor and review
project progress and timelines, adjust schedules and plans as
needed, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project
success.
- Experience interfacing with the academic research community,
universities and/or government agencies.
- Ability to work independently, managing projects with high
ambiguity and/or confidential nature.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal/social skills.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and synthesize them into
stories and slides.
- Proven experience in people management and/or strong leadership
capabilities.Travel:
- Some domestic or international travel may be required 2-4 times

position is $177,600 to $244,200. Compensation offered will be
